In 2004, Our Military Kids began as a pilot program supporting the families of one Virginia Army National Guard unit. The idea was simple yet profound: to empower military children by funding their extracurricular activities during a stressful time.

Since then, OMK has grown into a national nonprofit serving military children and families in all 50 states, U.S. Territories, and the District of Columbia, providing more than 92,000 scholarships totaling over $34 million.

Projections indicate deployments will persist and combat injuries and illnesses will continue to be diagnosed. Thousands of military families need our support.

That’s why we’re launching our new fundraising effort:
OMK Momentum, with the goal to raise $200,000 between Veterans Day and the end of 2024 to fund at least 600 additional activity grants for deserving military children.
